Eimog
Eimog is a post rock band formed in Agrigento, IT in 2006.
Eimog is a band heavily immersed in the influences of nature’s visual notions of the universe and finds itself in its prime when the crazy collaboration of sound lines up and finds her perfect balance. Countless suffocating hours trying to define art were futile - only music allows us to breath. It is our art.

Friend?

Have you got a Friend? No?! You have to get him! Or rather Them! Friend? are a five piece instrumental band from Dublin, Ireland. "Formed in late 2007, their sound has developed in to an original take on melodic and monstrous guitar driven post-rock, accompanied with pulsing electronic samples, atmospheric synthesized medleys, reinforced and led by haunting violin lines and an explosive rhythm section."

So Hideous, My Love...
Yearning for a sound that could encapsulate both the epic tendencies of classical music and post-rock with the raw emotionality of hardcore and black metal, So Hideous, My Love… from New York, United States was conceived by composer / guitarist Brandon Cruz in the winter of 2008. Early 2009 saw Jack Marshall, Rob Browning and Jose Marmolejos join the project, each bringing a unique playing style and musical perspective. So Hideous, My Love... is a quite fresh and new phenomenon on the screamo scene so interestic and characteristic in their own style.

Cостояние птиц

Have you ever heard something like that? A mixture of agressive screamo, with spatial post-metal, straightforward hardcore and melancholic post-rock with violin? Here it is! Cостояние птиц (which can be translated as 'birds state of soul') is a group from Saint Petersburg, Russia formed in 2009/2010. It’s pretty hard to unequivocally characterize the genre of the group and I think, that those tags I wrote describe them only in some small part. Much better shoud be have first-hand experience. Check them out!

Luigi Rubino

This is the first splendid album of Ashram’s pianist solo. Crystal notes of piano, nostalgia of violin, grace of Cello brings one into a very intense feeling of emotion, moving & intimist. Like an original soundtrack, the music draws the most peaceful & celestial timeless landscapes one can imagine. Luigi Rubino started playing and studying piano and liturgical organ when he was 10, with both Italian and foreign teachers.

F.S. Blumm & Nils Frahm

And there is a similiar situation as in post below. A blend of styles and kinds of music makes me decide to put this album apart from 'Nils Frahm' post. A collaboration between the Berliners F.S. Blumm and Nils Frahm create the improvisational and jazz-tinged digital album Music For Lovers Music Versus Time, contained beside neoclassical tones, also full of experimental sounds from life for example falling ping-pong ball, sounds of steps on stairs etc... So complicated, not easy-listening, but also so interested and intrigued.

Nils Frahm & Anne Müller

I've considered if add this album to the 'Nils Frahm' post, but finally I decided to set it apart. Reason? The music which is presented by this two people is completly different than this in his solo albums. Unknown for everybody Anne Müller add to the Nils' neo-classical music some kind of magic hidden in electronic sounds. For me it's the one of the best albums of the year and their mixtures of classical music and electronic sometimes are even better than masterpieces of Ólafur Arnalds!

Nils Frahm

Nils Frahm, born in 1982, had an early introduction to music. During his childhood he was taught to play piano by Nahum Brodski – a student of the last scholar of Tschaikowski. It was through this that Nils began to immerse himself in the styles of the classical pianists before him as well as contemporary composers. Today Nils Frahm works as an accomplished composer and producer in Berlin. For me, actually he is the one of the best modern yong artists from that genre.

点と線 (Ten To Sen / Dots And Lines)

点と線 / ten to sen (in english - Dots And Lines) is a side-project from two Spangle Call Lilli Line’s members: Ken Fujieda and Kiyoaki Sasahara. Their music is a mixture of soft and sensual sonuds of many instruments for example: violin, cello, piano, flute, guitar (elecric and acoustic), rattles, tambourine and I don't even know what else... Worth to check!

A Cold Dead Body

A Cold Dead Body is an italian musical project born in 2005. Their music is something like blend of soft post rock impressions with heavy post metal parts and everything is finished by beautiful violin sounds. All of that music arrangement is mixed by growls and clean vocals, which is actually atypical for post metal genre and makes them quite unique. This is another italian band, next to fantastic Amia Venera Landscape, which playing that kind of music interest me SO MUCH - maybe I schould check more of groups from that european country?

Cicada

Cicada is a young instrumental band from Taiwan. Their music is a piece of composition contain acoustic guitar, cello, 2 violins and piano (1 guy and 4 girls). This fusion of classical instruments and their origin makes them sound intriguing, absorbing, magnetic and a little bit oriental. Their only release is this handmade EP (DIY?;) ). This is probably only one band from Taiwan I know, but for sure one of my favorite, even if the new one will appear. You can check them here and here (videos probably from some rehersals).
