Prawn formed in Ridgewood, NJ in the summer of 2007. The band draws its influences from Indie-Emo and Post-Rock. The band has extensively toured the U.S., self released two EP’s and one tour demo. The band self-released their first full length "You Can Just Leave It All " in June 2011 and Topshelf Records will release it on vinyl later this year. Three friends from southern NH that make emo-ie, prog-ish, post-core, rock-type music. The band is predominantly influenced by emo bands of the past and present (jimmy eat world, appleseed cast, get up kids) as well as atmospheric rock bands (mogwai, explosions in the sky, sigur ros). The band formed in the summer of 2009 and is very much a product of all the members have learned from their past experiences playing in many bands prior to Deer Leap.

Off Minor

3/5ths of the New York screamo band Saetia formed Off Minor after Saetia broke up in 1999. The line-up consists of Steve Roche on drums, Jamie Behar on guitar, and Kevin Roche on bass. Perhaps what makes Off Minor so special is how much noise they are able to get out of 3 instruments, whether it be in the form of chaos or beauty. Combining both in the same way Saetia did, Off Minor represents the true emo scene, a difficult blend of elegance and brutality that when meshed together forms something truly amazing.

Snowing UPDATE!

Snowing was formed in 2008 in Lehigh Valley, United States by ex members of bands Street Smart Cyclist and Boyfriends. They're noisy, totally fucked up and loud. 'Fuck Your Emotional Bullshit' was a little masterpiece, in my opinion, but unfortunately I have forgotten about their new album. ICDWIWIIW is not as great as their debut EP, it's a little bit less explosive, but definetly worth a listen.
