Mindsedge was formed in November of 2006 by friends who wanted to make original music instead of conforming to the typical genres most local bands performed in their town. They play a blend of instrumental rock and metal interlaced with melodic as well as melancholic passages and solos with bits of ambient and space rock in-between. Keep the good work guys. Town Portal play instrumental rock that crosses borders of genres. Tapping on experience from earlier endeavors in genres like death metal, shoegaze and math rock, the three members bring components of it all into a melting pot, creating a unique niche of original melodies and harmonies, fixated on a skeleton of complex and playful rhythm structures. Under the dogma of forsaking vocals and other superfluous effects, the band throw themselves into a search of new meaningful ways to compose tones over time, with a heavy and dry precision.

Lunatic Soul

Lunatic Soul is the solo project of Mariusz Duda, vocalist and bassist of Polish progressive rock band Riverside. The eponymous first (black) album was released on October 13, 2008. For the album, he enlisted the help of several friends from different bands such as Quidam, Indukti and Riverside. In stark contrast to his main outfit, Lunatic Soul contains no electric guitars at all and can be best described as a mix of ambient and progressive elements - Duda himself calls the sound “oriental-alternative”. The second (white) album was released on October 25, 2010, a continuation of the sound established on the debut. In 2011 he released his third album "Impressions", which still gets very good reviews and opinions.

Searching For Calm is a polish band from Sosnowiec, formed in 2002. IMO it's one of our best exporting goods. Here is the music that escapes simple divisions and constraints of a particular genre. The quintet refuses to numbly follow the ready-made patterns and cliches, mingling the rough sound with the unconventional rythmical solutions and a solid dose of moving melodies. A rock and roll bomb strongly marked with experimental tastes, emitting enough energy to endow half of the indie scene. With no unnecessary inhibitions but with a great range of appeal.

Brume Retina UPDATE!

I couldn't name the post with NEW! in the title as I am a bit late. I found their new release by accident during my standard "euroscreamo tours". Brume Retina is a french group which has some unique approach to screamo. Vocal is actually really "fast" and it's kinda dissimilar to other representatives of french hardcore scene. Each song's structure is really odd, there is no rule, especially for when the track get's to its end. I am actually afraid to tag them as screamo as they changed a lot of standards, but who cares? They're good!

A Lot Like Birds

They describe themselves as 5-8 piece post-hardcore band. I checked their facebook profile and I can tell that number of people involved in this project is way bigger. There is a lot progressiveness in their music, we can hear a lot of solos on various instruments and the songs are still aggressive enough to be called post-hardcore. Definitely worth checking as screams are also very good. Personally I hate saxophone in any genre but here it became acceptable for me.

Amia Venera Landscape NEW!

Amia Venera Landscape is an italian sextet combining nervy post hardcore riffs with wide instrumental, post metal suites. They born in 2007 with a six-pieces lineup, and immediately start gaining their own space in the italian alternative scene. In 2008 they released their debut EP "Marasm", that allows them to play in the main italian rock clubs. For me it's the one of most fantastic and original bands ever! Mix of post hardcore and post metal, clean vocals and growls as they do it is something gorgeous and incredibly awesome!
