Beirut is an American band which was originally the solo musical project of Santa Fe native Zachary Francis Condon, and later expanded into a band. They draw inspiration from many musical generes - from classical and alternative rock, through electronica and psychedelic and even Gypsy or Balkan rhythms. Cursive

Cursive is an indie rock band from Omaha, Nebraska, United States. The band record for the label Saddle Creek Records and, along with Bright Eyes are one of its flagship artists. The band was formed in 1995 by Tim Kasher, Matt Maginn, Steve Pedersen and drummer Clint Schnase. Cursive consist of delicate guitars that erupt into frenzied explosions, a rhythm section that consistently keeps each track barreling forward, and the harrowing vocal contributions of Tim Kasher, who have such a powerful and characteristic voice. Kasher is a storyteller, a weaver of songs that can read more like short stories or fables than the standard verse-chorus-verse. Undoubtly, Cursive's one of the best indie rock bands of all time.

And the unhealthy scottishness of the singer's voice just make them more agressive and noisy. The compositions have amazing background, mix of waves of static, piano, violin, noisy guitar. Tim Kasher

Tim Kasher is a musician from Omaha, Nebraska. He is the frontman of indie rock groups Cursive (untouchable said that he will upload them soon ;p) and The Good Life, both of which are on the Omaha based label Saddle Creek Records. Prior to those bands, Kasher was in a band called Slowdown Virginia. He also made a brief appearance with the Omaha band Commander Venus and The March Hares. This is his solo album released in 2010 on Saddle Creek. Kasher has a very close relationship with Conor Oberst of Bright Eyes and so their music is very similiar. In my opinion, he is lyrical genius, great singer and just totally talented guy. And so magical when he's playing, you should go to his concert, just breathtaking.

It was so hard to describe/tag their music. This young band from Worcester, Massachusetts is playing something different, original and atypical. Before I had downloaded their EP I read that their music is 'Experimantal Hardcore', but when I have listened it, I can easily say that this is something much more than that: non-standard way of singing, broken rythm and melodies... It's really hard to define it. For sure I will wait for some new stuff.
