Dir en grey has always been a diverse band. They've done some alternative, prog rock, thrash metal and death metal, and that was just on their first two albums. So what's to expect from their fourth major release, Kisou? Well, once again, it's different from what came before it. There's a couple acoustic ballads, some nice bass lines, great drumming, and Kyo is as diverse as ever, mangling his voice in every way possible. All lyrics are written by Kyo and deal with subjects such as society, mass media as well as sexual obsessions and love, usually with negative implications.
Kisou is Dir en grey's fourth album, in my opinion - the best j-rock album ever. Even if you don't like j-rock at all, you should try it. I know I'm freak, but i love this album :)
